Institutes move programmes and engagement online
During the last few months, the CII has carefully monitored the impact of coronavirus on the local institute network, with the safety and wellbeing of members remaining the number one priority.
Despite recent relaxing of certain restrictions, it seems clear that various social distancing rules and altered working practices will remain in place for some considerable time.
In consideration of this, the CII has recommended that no face-to-face CPD events take place for the remainder of 2020 and annual dinners should not resume until the 2021/2022 presidential year.
We are extremely proud that our network of 56 institutes have rapidly moved towards an online digital offering for members locally. Looking at topics such as business interruption, policy working and cover extensions, which are all proving popular. A host of other learning has also been developed, such as advice for working from home, working with vulnerable customers and mental health – further helping CII members during this challenging period.
The local institutes look forward to the return of face-to-face events as soon as they are safe and viable. In the meantime, if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to get in touch with your local institute president.
