A team of 33 members from the Insurance Institute of Manchester have completed a virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge (there and back) of 2,168 miles in just 26 days.
The team got to the original John O’Groats destination in just 11 days and are now preparing to complete the Icons Round the World Challenge.
Starting at Table Mountain on 1 June, the team plans to travel 56,285 miles around the world and end at Skara Brae, Orkney Islands, visiting iconic locations such as Giza, the Colosseum, Red Square, the Great Wall of China, the Great Barrier Reef and the Tower of London, with their virtual passports.
The group is made up of members of mixed abilities who want to keep moving and they are ready to welcome more team members for the challenge, completely free of charge.
You can cycle, row, run, swim, or move however you choose – the aim is simply to get moving more. To find out how to join, contact Karen Shenton at: karen.shenton@createsolutions.co.uk
