The Insurance Institute of Cheltenham & Gloucester was saddened to learn of the passing of past president and council stalwart Alf Parmley earlier this year.
By way of a tribute to Mr Parmley, who dedicated many years to supporting CII examination invigilation in Cheltenham and Gloucester, the institute will be naming an annual education award in his honour.
Institute president for 2020/2021, Simon McGill, said: “I have very fond memories of Alf. He was a very kind man and a true gentleman, and will be warmly remembered by many of us. He was a great supporter of Cheltenham & Gloucester Institute and helped for many years with coordinating and invigilating the CII exams until a few years ago. Our thoughts and best wishes are with his family and in particular his son John.”
