In May, Manchester Institute president Eleanor Moore launched MIIndful Manchester -- a wellbeing support network.
During this unpredictable time, the Institute felt it was important to focus on the mental health of its members.
The initiative involves quarterly CPD webinars, wellbeing activities and the opportunity to become a fully trained 'Wellbeing Supporter'.
The events committee has also organised a wellbeing coffee morning named Elevenses. Members can come together to network on a regular basis and are encouraged to take some downtime with others from the profession to have an informal chat.
Finally, the Institute has invested in a training programme for members to receive a certificate in first aid for mental health. Once trained, volunteers become Wellbeing Supporters, with the intention to offer this specialised help to other members.
