Insuring Women's Futures (IWF) has launched a major new report into the trends in risk that are disproportionately borne by women.

Securing The Financial Future of The Next Generation identifies six 'moments that matter' in women's lives, highlighting 12 'perils and pitfalls' that aggregate in these moments, together with potential interventions for the profession to consider in collaboration with policymakers and regulators to improve women's risk resilience.

IWF is a market initiative established by the CII to promote and enhance the profession's role in relation to women and risk. The research coincides with the launch of a Market Taskforce, composed of 15 senior executives from across the insurance and financial planning profession who will prioritise actions to improve financial outcomes for women and the profession's engagement with society.

IWF MARCH 2018

The report was officially launched in January at Aldermanbury, London, with huge support from individuals and organisations from across the insurance profession, engaging with IWF and joining the conversation on the opportunities to effect meaningful change.

Key speakers included main author of the report, Jane Portas, CII CEO, Sian Fisher and Jude Kelly, artistic director of the Southbank Centre in London.

The full report can be downloaded at www.cii.co.uk/50515 and members can have their say via our social media channels, using the hashtag #momentsthatmatter
