Lizzy Fisher, of Robus Group in Guernsey, has been awarded the Worshipful Company of Insurers Prize by the Chartered Insurance Institute. Ms Fisher completed her certificate, diploma and advanced diploma in insurance within 11 months, while achieving the best result in passing the Diploma. At Robus Group -- an independent captive insurance management, fiduciary and financial advisory firm -- Ms Fisher is responsible for clients' financial and regulatory reporting.
An economics graduate, Ms Fisher joined Robus three years ago from Deloitte where she qualified as a Chartered accountant. She said: "I was delighted to receive the award. Given the number and quality of candidates who enter these examinations each year, to have achieved the best performance was a nice surprise. "Having come from an accounting background, the CII insurance qualifications were particularly helpful in allowing me to gain an understanding of technical insurance concepts and terminology."
