The BIBA 2017 exhibition was once again the go-to event for insurance professionals. Luke Holloway reports-¦

Well known as one of the biggest events in the insurance calendar, the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) exhibition, held in Manchester, is where thousands of delegates from the sector come to do business, create new working relationships and extend their knowledge of what is happening across the profession.

The CII exhibited three stands this year. The Business Advantage stand was busy with meetings with CII president John Moore, discussing Chartered status with many
firms and individuals, not to mention our special guest Dame Kelly Holmes signing CII notebooks and taking photos with fans.

Our Broker Assess stand was also buzzing and had around 350 visitors, with many of them having a great time testing their knowledge of risk on the giant smartphone quiz app 'Broking the Future'.

Our CII Fringe session -- 'Business Advantage through Chartered status' -- was full and attending delegates were treated to an emotional introduction video showing Dame Kelly Holmes' double Olympics gold medal victories, followed by a passionate and impactful debate from our expert panel, including Paul Anscombe, CEO of Seventeen Group, and Anne Dalton, of TC Brokers.

And last, but by no means least, our HeForShe stand gathered nearly 200 commitments for diversity and gender equality.

The CII was also proud to host its first official BIBA pre-party at The Den in the stylish Principal Hotel, attended by nearly 100 friends and colleagues from across the profession.

All in all it was a huge success and very enjoyable, so thank you to everyone we saw across the conference and here's looking forward to next year.
