Members in the Liverpool area are being offered a free continuing professional development (CPD) event with a difference on 21 June.

The Insurance Institute of Liverpool, which works with Financial Liverpool, has arranged for an evening session running from 5pm to 7pm with magician and business author Lee Warren, aimed at helping members develop their powers of persuasion.

Attendees can look forward to an interactive session that fuses magic, business psychology and showbiz to discuss some of the secret skills used by magicians and mind-readers to persuade and influence people.

Although the session is light-hearted in tone, Mr Warren will be covering the ethical aspects of persuasion and the event is also Chartered Insurance Institute CPD-accredited. The event will showcase how individuals can stand out by connecting with people emotionally as well as rationally.

Those wishing to attend can sign up for only £10 on the Institute's website: www.cii.co.uk/liverpool

Details of upcoming events can also be found by visiting www.financialliverpool.org.uk or by following @financial_lpool on Twitter.
