The Insurance Institutes of Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters recently joined forces to host a technical insurance event on Covid-19 business interruption (BI) claims and cover, following the recent Supreme Court ruling on BI cover.
Damian Glynn, director and head of financial risks at Sedgwick International, delivered a talk to members of both the Insurance Institutes of Scotland and CILA, before being joined by his Sedgwick colleague Maina Wagiciengo, senior manager of forensic advisory services.
More than 750 delegates attended the webinar, held in November, which covered what issues the test case did not either address or resolve, as well as the potential unintended consequences of litigation currently in progress.
The CII’s local institute network has continued to offer an amazing technical online programme during the course of 2021, giving members the chance to tap into more than 1,500 events covering numerous topics and subjects.
