The CII was a headliner at the Insurance Innovators Festival: The Big Catch Up 2021, which took place on Thursday 18 November at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London.
Insurance Innovators is a provider of events and digital content, including conferences, webinars, reports and roundtables, to equip insurance professionals for the future.
The annual festival brings together a host of keynote speakers from across the profession to share innovative ideas and insights.
In a session focusing on re-sculpting the customer-insurer relationship, Sian Fisher, CEO of the CII, spoke about the importance of rebuilding public trust in insurance.
Ms Fisher said: “Public trust is key if our profession is to meet the needs of the public and provide them with a safety net they believe is capable of catching them. A key factor for building trust is knowing your customer and becoming more inclusive across the profession.
“The profession has made some excellent progress on the EDI journey but clearly more work is needed on the inclusive customer journey, in order for diverse customers to feel their needs are being met.
“The CII is keen to assist members through good practice guidance, our work with the regulator and initiatives such as Insuring Women’s Futures.”
