The Insurance Institutes of the Northeast’s annual conference will take place on Tuesday 14 September 2021.
The event will again be held via webinar, following last year’s successful move online. The format replicates the conference’s established approach in recent years, with a ‘real-life’ scenario presented and the various profession-related implications and outcomes debated and discussed with delegates.
This year’s theme is ‘Sharing is caring – Defending the digital frontier’ and follows a case study of a staff member working from home due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions who breaches their employer’s instructions, resulting in malware infecting the company system. Contact information, bank details and other personal information are accessed.
The conference is divided into a pair of two-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with interactive breakout sessions to allow delegates to be able to participate fully.
The event is supported by Pen Underwriting, which has shaped and created the interactive case study-scenario content.
Bookings can be made via any of the northeast institutes’ websites – Bradford, Halifax, Hull, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield and York.
