The new president of the Insurance Institute of Cheltenham & Gloucester (IICG), Tim Chandler, is tightening his toe clips for a good cause in 2021/2022.
Pledging to complete a cycling challenge covering the distance of the Institute’s borders –about 300 miles – during the course of the year, Mr Chandler is raising funds for his chosen charity, the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.
He said: “Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is home to the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in the county, alongside a hospice-at-home service, virtual day hospice and family support team. The hospice helped care for a friend in 2019 who spent time at the hospice following his treatment, so I am aware of the brilliant work of Sue Ryder.
“At the IICG, we are aiming to raise as much as we can for the hospice throughout the year with different activities and events, including our annual dinner and our golf day.”
