Young Professionals Group launch
The Insurance Institute of Guildford launched its young professionals group in September with a cocktails and canapes event.
More than 50 young insurance professionals from across Surrey enjoyed a host of tasty cocktails whilst listening to Harriet Conway, Guildford president, and Matthew Knight, YP representative, explain their plans for the year ahead.
The newly formed young professionals sub-committee aims to connect young members in the local area with networking opportunities, as well as personal and professional development. The event was a huge success and plans are now in place to host a Halloween Quiz and mentoring programme later this year.

Although the ‘Beast from the East’ caused the Cambridge Institute to cancel its Anglia Market Forum at Newmarket Racecourse, all food from the event was kindly donated to local homeless shelter Jimmy’s of Cambridge.
Local insurance and financial services professionals came together to celebrate their latest achievements at Birmingham Insurance Institute’s (BII) annual presentation evening.
The Chartered Insurance Institute has launched a report that explores the future of financial provision for those too ill to work.
