Vanessa Riboloni – The Legal has Landed
This month we recommend a legal database and soft skills resources.
Legal knowledge at your fingertips
During the past two years we have been increasingly providing more online content to members. One of the resources to watch is i-law.com, a leading online database of legal knowledge.
It provides you with 24/7 access and the ability to search by party names, keywords, headnotes, judge, court or use the free text search option to find exactly what you are looking for.
i-law.com brings together case reports – including the Lloyd’s Law Reports series covering maritime and commercial, insurance and reinsurance, and professional negligence cases – as well as analysis from publications such as Insurance Law Monthly, journals such as Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, and books including The Insurance Act 2015, Law of Liability Insurance, Insurance Broking Practice and the Law, and many more.

Brush up your soft skills
In today’s competitive market, soft skills are key to making a difference: the ability to project manage efficiently or communicate well separate the all-round professional from the just technically proficient. So why not brush up your soft skills with our collection of Soft Skill Useful Guides? Topics include managing the press and social media, interviewing techniques and mastering interviews, work-life balance, finance for the non-financial manager, negotiating skills and many more. You can download the guides freely, including all associated worksheets, toolkits and exercises, as many times as you like. And they are suitable for continuing professional development.
